ADDING FONTS TO AFFINITY FOR MAC APPS FULL
In some cases a full restart of the app (by closing the process down from the iPad's App Switching screen) may also work

In the meantime I found that either installing or uninstalling/reinstalling a font in the Fonts section in Affinity Preferences will correct the issue temporarily. I've since spoken with development about this and passed the issue on to them who do have an idea on whats going on and will be looking into a fix for it. However before you close it, please do verify you have a copy saved to avoid accidentally losing any work.Īpologies for the delay in responding - I have been on annual leave for the last week.Īs I had been unable to reproduce this issue I was hoping it was fixed by the fix made for the Japanese and Chinese font issues in iOS however this unfortunately wasn't the case as you've all reported.Īnother user had attached a video about this issue which gave me a few more clues and has allowed me to reproduce the issue. Whilst its not a 100% reproducible rate for me, I can reliably reproduce it by having lots of fonts installed, and lots of documents open, and then 1 out of 10 tries the fonts will fail to seen and display as missing I don't believe the document is corrupt, I suspect it may just need closing and reopening fully. Once thats done try and reopen it and see if the font starts working on that document. Regarding one of the affected documents can you save it to Dropbox, iCloud, On my iPad and then do 'Close' from the home screen with that document to make sure its removed from the home screen. The question I have is if those open files that were corrupted are a lost cause or can this be fixed? I appreciate any insight on this issue. Not sure if that is the same for the other user’s issue. The files on my end are being opened from the thumbnail on the home screen. The fonts are still not accessible in the corrupt document. Going out of the corrupt document and then back into it does not fix anything. For me I cannot access my fonts in a document that was already created before the update, but i can access them in a new document. It would make sense that it was caused by upgrading with open documents. I think Wilton33311 and I are having the same issue, so I can answer some of these from my experience. Thanks for that I'm still struggling to reproduce this here! I'm trying to figure out if this is a problem caused by upgrading with open documentsĬan you create a new file and access the font (i.e the Adventure Time one that is installed into Affinity causing issues), and does it still show up if you return to the document selection screen and go back into that document?Īre you opening a file from the home screen of Affinity by tapping the thumbnail of the document or are you going from '+ > Open/Import from Cloud'? If so does closing that document so it disappears from that screen and then reopening it using '+ > Open/Import from Cloud' then allow the font to show correctly? Which with nearly 1k fonts feels like it may take all day to load all those profiles. I since then I have downloaded the app iFont and getting that ready to load font into my iPad. Unzipped the in the Affinity app, I went to the settings and loaded the font. The fonts were downloaded into my iCloud.
